We're looking for 🤔
A talented and driven Product Designer (Intern) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of physical product design and packaging, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful, functional, and premium physical products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, operations, and founders to bring our flagship medical device and its accessories to life — both in terms of form and user experience.
This internship will culminate in a real-life, production-ready output — not just a conceptual project. You will see your work go from sketches and prototypes all the way to the hands of our users.
In this role, you will 🤵♀️
- Designing Premium Packaging: Lead the design of high-quality, user-friendly packaging for our flagship device and its accessories. Ensure the design aligns with our brand identity, enhances unboxing experience, and meets real-world constraints such as manufacturability, cost, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
- Crafting Product Forms for New Variants: Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to conceptualize and develop physical form factors for upcoming versions of our medical device. Consider ergonomics, human-centered design, usability, aesthetics, and real-world feasibility.
- Prototyping and Iteration: Build and test physical mock-ups and quick prototypes. Work through multiple iterations based on technical feasibility, user testing, and feedback.
- Ad-hoc Product Design Projects: Support the team with other product design needs — from packaging inserts to transport cases, from medical accessories to printed instructions — wherever your design expertise can make an impact.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical engineers, UI/UX designers, marketing, and operations to ensure that your design not only looks good but works well in the real world and scales effectively.
You are ideally someone who ⭐
- Has strong hands-on experience in taking physical design projects from concept to prototype, and ideally, to real-world implementation.
- Is comfortable working with 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar.
